Position overview:
 
To design, implement and lead EMCOR UK’s Mobilisation and Transition service to ensure the successful delivery of all contract mobilisations, transitions, re-mobilisations, de-mobilisations and any required change project/programme for EMCOR UK in compliance with the relevant contract deliverables and KPIs.
 
What you'll do:

High level accountabilities

  • To design, implement and lead the Mobilisation and Transition strategy for EMCOR UK in line with company strategic, operational, financial, and commercial objectives.
  • To establish, lead and develop the Mobilisation and Transition team to ensure that team members are operating effectively at all times.
  • To support EMCOR UK’s Business Development Team in ‘productising’ Mobilisation and Transition (and Transformation) so that its concept can be used to establish competitive advantage and differentiation within the FM Marketplace
  • To support EMCOR UK’s Business Development Team in selling EMCOR UK’s Mobilisation and Transition (and Transformation) service to new and existing clients. This will include completing the roles and responsibilities of an SME
  • To ensure that all existing and future Mobilisations and Transition projects are adequately resourced with Mobilisation and Transition Managers and Operational Leads at all times.
  • To perform the role of the Mobilisation and Transition Manager as and when required. This may also include leading any required change projects/programmes.
  • To design and own the Mobilisation and Transition Playbook (and all associated documentation) and ensure that all stakeholders are competent and able to comply with this SOP.
  • To ensure the consistent delivery and implementation of the Mobilisation and Transition service on all contracts.
  • To ensure that the Mobilisation and Transition team comply with the effective fundamentals of project and change management.
  • To design, implement and manage a pricing and cross charge mechanism for Mobilisation and Transition and ensure compliance at all times.
  • To design, implement and manage an effective TUPE process (including a cultural change programme) in collaboration with HR
  • To design, implement and manage an effective TUPE Be There for Life process in collaboration with WSA which will involve measuring the no. of accidents, incidents and Near misses within the first 6 months of the contract start
  • To design, implement and manage an effective Lfe process for the service
  • To lead and resource any required change projects as requested by the Change team. Resource flexibility should be established across the entire Transformation team.
  • To work collaboratively with the Change and Business Standards team to ensure that this combined Transformation Team provide a consistently effective service to the EUK internal business and our clients
  • To be an effective OLT member, attending all required meetings and completing all actions
  • Deputise for the Head of Change Management/Head of Business Standards and Head of Transformation as and when required
  • To support the Head of Transformation with the completion of any other reasonable request
  • To escalate and manage any risks or issues proactively as per the Risk Management framework

  • Mobilisation and transition progress tracking and reporting
  • Senior management briefings on progress and risks
  • Team/ client escalation and query handling
  • Governance structure implementation (with team, SMEs, Directors, BD and Senior Management)
  • Continuous improvement of ownership areas
  • Team line management
  • Budget management

About the role

Who you'll be:

Essential

  • Experience in leading and managing a Mobilisation and Change service within an FM context
  • Extensive experience in leading and managing the mobilisation of major TFM contracts
  • Extensive experience within a TFM Account Management role as well as a Mobilisation Management role
  • Extensive experience in FM operations and operational design
  • Project Management accredited (ideally APM-PMQ)
  • Thorough technical knowledge, plus relevant experience, of the operation and maintenance of a TFM environment.
  • Knowledge of the current legislation and mandatory standards relating to safe working practices.
  • Valid full driving licence

Desirable

  • Degree educated
  • Change Management accredited (ideally APM-CMQ)
  • Cultural change accredited
  • IOSH accredited
  • Demonstrable management and leadership training (ideally ILM5 accredited)
  • Lean Six Sigma accredited
