Duties/Responsibilities

Location: One role based in Peterborough and surrounding areas, and one role based in Huntingdon and surrounding areas 

Salary:  

    • 1st Year: £21,000,
    • 2nd Year: £24,000,
    • 3rd Year: £28,000,
    • 4th Year (If Applicable): £30,600
    • Qualified: £36,000.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 17:00

Contract Type: Permanent Full Time

Role Overview:
 
To learn the skills needed to carry out planned preventative maintenance and the fault diagnosis and repair on a variety of mechanical / electrical plant and equipment including:
  • Electrical building tests
  • Electrical / Mechanical plant and equipment fault finding
  • Refrigeration and air conditioning maintenance and fault finding
  • Steam and has heating and ventilation equipment
  • Industrial boilers and associated pumps and controls
  • Domestic hot water and water distribution systems
  • Steam distribution systems
  • Compressed air systems
  • Condition monitoring and thermography
  • General plumbing

Person Specification

Who you'll be:
  • Studying (or have qualifications) in Maths, English and a Science or craft based subject to a minimum grade C
  • Articulate, numerate and IT literate
  • Reasonable understanding of FM and Building Services Engineering
  • Be able to demonstrate the ability to identify health and safety and environmental issues
  • Have good communication skills
  • Be resilient under pressure and be able to converse confidently with staff, suppliers and customers at all levels
